Steven Paradise is leaving Vinson & Elkins to join Richards Kibbe & Orbe in New York.
“We are very excited for Steven to bring his practice to Richards Kibbe & Orbe,” said Jennifer Grady, managing partner of the firm. “Steven has a world-class reputation for his work on complex litigation, enforcement proceedings, and investigatory matters, including extensive work for investment funds and financial services firms. His skills and experience align perfectly with the needs of our clients.”
Paradise comes to Richards Kibbe & Orbe from Vinson & Elkins, where he served as co-head of the securities litigation and enforcement practice.
In his 25-year legal career, Paradise has regularly represented individual and corporate defendants in securities class action litigation, government and internal investigations, and regulatory proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, and other administrative bodies.
In addition to his securities practice, he has represented Big Four accounting firms, Fortune 500 companies, and financial services firms in commercial litigation matters in federal, state, and appellate courts across the country.
Paradise recently won a unanimous jury verdict and subsequent appeal for a hedge fund defendant in a $95 million lawsuit.
“Steven will be a tremendous asset to our financial services clients, and will add even more depth to our areas of traditional strength,” said Lee Richards, partner and co-founder of Richards Kibbe & Orbe.
“Richards Kibbe & Orbe is synonymous with excellence, particularly within the financial services and hedge fund industries,” said Paradise. “I’m honored to join a firm that regularly performs such creative, sophisticated, and impactful work.”
